Happy Birthday Sweatheart... :)

Dallin's birthday was last Wednesday, the 14th. November is always so busy for us with school and all of the projects and big tests, and this year was especially busy for some reason... So, we ended up celebrating his birthday a few days earlier. We got Costa Vida for dinner and had some cake and ice cream. A few of Dallin's friends joined us for cake and games. We had a fun birthday week, and I hope Dallin enjoyed it.. :)

The cute cake I made :) I know... It's kind of childish,
but Dallin really does still act like a child sometimes... ;) haha

This is one of the gifts I got Dallin. He loves pancakes :) so i thought this was cute!

He also got some handsome new glasses (pictures coming soon)
and some boring things like clothes and socks and stuff... ;)

Happy Birthday Dallin :) You are my best friend and I love you forever!
Hope you had a fun birthday :)

Grateful... :)

I'm so grateful to be lead by such wise and loving men. What a blessing it is to have the knowledge of the gospel in my life. And no matter what happens in our country, those who are on the Lord's side will be kept safe. He will come and what a glorious day that will be. :)

President Ezra Taft Benson

"Men may fail in this country, earthquakes may come, seas may heave beyond their bounds, there may be great drought, disaster, and hardship, but this nation, founded on principles laid down by men whom God raised up, will never fail. This is the cradle of humanity, where life on this earth began in the Garden of Eden. This is the place of the New Jerusalem. This is the place that the Lord said is favored above all other nations in all the world. This is the place where the Savior will come to His temple. This is the favored land in all the world. Yes, I repeat, men may fail, but this nation won't fail. I have faith in America; you and I must have faith in America, if we understand the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are living in a day when we must pay heed to these challenges.
I plead with you not to preach pessimism. Preach that this is the greatest country in all the world. This is the favored land. This is the land of our forefathers. It is the nation that will stand despite whatever trials or crises it may yet have to pass through."  -Harold B. Lee

As of lately... :)

It's been a really long time since I've posted anything so I'll post a few pictures of some fun things we've done lately.

Here are a few pictures of us and our friends out at Dallin's Family's cabin (Wenn's, Us, Pace's, and Prisbrey's). It was so much fun! We wish all of our friends could have come with us!

Frisbee Golf :)

Swimmin' in the Pond

I know... We're cute ;)

Shooting

 Super fun day :)

Now for some Halloween Festivities :)

For one party, we dressed up as graduate "wanna-be's" :)
Read the signs carefully ;) haha
For another party, we dressed up as Arabian Ninja's :) haha

These are Dallin's cool pumpkins! He is so talented!

This one is mine... ;) I'm goooood... :)

Dallin talked me into going hunting with him this year. It was basically my first time hunting. We went with Dallin's dad and his brother, Brett. It was really fun, but also frustrating... I told Dallin he picks the most frustrating sports to participate in: hunting and golf... It was a tiring day, and we didn't catch anything. But we did do a lot of hiking. There's no one I'd rather be with than my best friend! :)

I GOT A PIANO!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Thank you Mama and Papa Wilson for letting us take your piano off of your hands :) I love it!
Just tilt your head to the side a little... Yep, it's a beauty! :)

Stay within the Lines... :)

Happy Tuesday... :)

The link below is to a Mormon Message, called Staying within the Lines, that was shared in Relief Society by our sweet teacher Sister Payne. I couldn't figure out how to just make it show up here, but copy and paste it in a new window... and enjoy :) What a powerful message for ALL of us to remember. When we do what's right, and stay on the Lord's side of the line, we have a light about us that has the ability to influence others. There are so many awesome things about this video... I just LOVE it! Feel free to share with me why you might love it :)

I love Mormon Messages! I'm very excited to hear the Brethren speak to us personally in a few weeks. Watching these messages helps me to prepare my mind and heart for accepting the messages we will hear at General Conference :)

Everything will be okay... :)

I've been working on this for a while, trying to get it just right, and still, it seems to sound kind of jumbled and confusing... But these are my thoughts... :)

With everything that's going on in the world (wars, politics, killings, negative attention on the Church, etc.) I've kind of been freaking out... I worry about myself, and then remember that someday, Dallin and I are going to have small kiddies of our own. Then I just worry more. Not gonna lie, thinking of all that stuff is REALLY great birth control.. ;) I'm nervous for my kids to grow up in such a corrupt world. I'm even more nervous that I won't be a good enough mom to raise them to desire to seek for the truth, peace, safety, and righteousness that the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides for us. (This has a point... Promise :) )

Dallin and I decided to take a Doctrine and Covenants Institute class this semester. What a blessing to be able to continue our education in the Gospel :) This week, we talked about D&C 3, 5, 10, and 17 (very comforting sections :) I would encourage you to read them!). We talked about Joseph Smith and the period of time when he was first translating the Book of Mormon. He, his family, and his friends went through a lot of hardships; persecution, losing the manuscripts, and so many trials. He still believed (it sounded a lot better, and made a lot more sense in class than it does here... promise :) ). Why is it that I doubt so easily, unlike the Prophet Joseph and first President of the Church in this dispensation who had to endure so much in this life? I feel that my life is EASY compared to his and Emma's...

But, the Lord teaches us that Everything will be okay... :)

Section 3

"The works, and the designs, and the purposes of God cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to naught.
For God doth not walk in crooked paths, neither doth he turn to the right hand nor to the left, neither doth he vary from that which he hath said, therefore his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round.
Remember, remember that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men...

Nevertheless, my work shall go forth, for inasmuch as the knowledge of a Savior has come unto the world, through the testimony of the Jews, even so shall the knowledge of a Savior come unto my people..."

Section 10

"Pray always, that you may come off conqueror; yea, that you may conquer Satan, and that you may escape the hands of the Servants of Satan that do uphold his work...

And, on this wise, the devil has sought to lay a cunning plan, that he may destroy this work...

Therefore, whosoever belongeth to my church need not fear, for such shall inherit the kingdom of heaven...

And now, remember the words of him who is the life and light of the world, your Redeemer, your Lord and your God. Amen..."

Even through all of the wickedness that goes on in the world, no matter how afraid or nervous we get, our Savior, Jesus Christ, lifts us up and catches us when we fall. No matter what happens in this country and in this world, no matter what is going on around us or the trials that we face, we can always look to Him. There are scary days ahead of us and our small families, but as long as we are striving to do what's right and are enduring to the end, and are teaching our children to do the same, Everything will be okay... :)

He is truly there for us. All we have to do is let Him in. It gives me comfort to remember the promises he has made to me in my patriarchal blessing and also in the scriptures. The scriptures were written for our day. The promises he gave to the prophets of old are promises for each of us. We don't have to worry; we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And with Him on our side, we will win the fight.

In this last dispensation, on the last day, and in the last second of the last hour, when "all hell and mighty storm shall beat upon you," He will be there, just like He promised. And in that day, those who believe in Him will see His face and the nail prints in His hands and feet. What a beautiful homecoming. I have a testimony, and am convinced, that everything will be okay when the World tells me it isn't. I'm grateful to have a Heavenly Father and a Savior who care enough for me to provide a way back home and who ensure me with all that they do that I will be okay... :)

I Lost all my Wisdom...

Yep, I got my wisdom teeth out.... yuck! That was not a fun day at the dentist's office :( I woke up after the procedure crying for no reason at all. I was so confused! After a day of eating nothing but Jello and Pudding, I did pretty well.

I'm glad I was able to get the procedure done up north and stay with my parents for the weekend as I tried to recover. My mom was such a sweetie, and took such good care of me :) My whole family was awesome and I can't thank them enough for helping out! Thank you mom, dad, Miles, and Ry. And especially Dallin :) I couldn't have made it without you! You're such a good sport and such a sweetheart for taking care of me! I love you!

*No pictures will be posted at this time....I look like I gained 10 lbs. in my face!...* ;)

Life. . . :)

So... A lot has happened the last few months that I would like to share with you all :) They're just small stories of moments that made me smile... Enjoy :)

*We made smores with mini mellows and Teddy Grahams over our stove :) Don't judge, this is what we do for fun.. :)

*We went to Arizona to check out a graduate school for Dallin's optometry program. We LOVED it! And that's an understatement! We went with Dani and Jared Wenn, and Mike and Ashley Christensen were our lovely hosts :) We had the opportunity to go to a Diamondbacks baseball game, to go shopping, to see a giant cactus and take a picture with it (if you look really closely you can see the creepy camp trailer in the background of the picture; we thought we might get shot...), and on the way home, we stopped at the Hoover Dam. It was wicked! Oh, and the optometry school was pretty cool, too ;)

Let's just say, it was a long drive... :) Love him!

I was soooo nervous... I couldn't get as close as these crazies... :)

*We went camping and fishing with the Heywoods on the 4th of July! We had so much fun :) pretty sure everyone around us was sick of hearing us play games until midnight, but we had a good time! Thanks for the invite Kirt and Sherst! :)

 They're so cute :)
*Yes, this is Dallin :) He got all dressed up to do the dishes for me :)
*On the 24th of July, we took a 4-wheeler ride up the mountain with my family. We ended up going over 45 miles! It was a blast :)

*We got a SCOOTER!!! It was broken.... :(

...But now, it's fixed! :) yay! Except, I can't drive it by myself... It's too heavy and I'm not tall enough to hold it up...so Dallin drives :)

*This is our room :) lovely right? It flooded. Twice. I didn't take pictures of it, because it was too sad... But it's fine now :) No more flooding!

STOP! Warning: If you get sick easily, be careful looking at the next picture... kinda gross, jus sayin.

*...Dallin drilled a hole in his finger. Smart right? This one didn't make me smile very much... He was making a pinewood derby car. There was blood everywhere! Including my carpet! It's healing really well :) No stitches were needed :) Glad he's ok :) Now I can smile :) ha!

*And, I just love this picture :) I think we're cute :)
